(2) Articles 80 with the exception of paragraph 2 thereof and 81 88 of the Code of Criminal
Procedure shall apply mutatis mutandis to warrants or orders issued by virtue of the preceding
subsection by a court or examining magistrate.
Section 57
Articles 73, 79, 569 and 570 of the Code of Criminal Procedure shall apply mutatis mutandis to
orders terminating deprivation of liberty made by virtue of this Act and to the execution of such
orders.
Section 58
The periods referred to in sections 16 (c), 37, subsection 1 (b), 40, subsection 3, and 44, sub-
section 1, shall not run during the time the alien has evaded the further execution of the orders
mentioned in such sections.
Section 59
(1) In cases where extradition has been declared inadmissible by final judgment of a court, the
court which heard the case may, at the request of the person claimed, grant him compensation to
be paid by the State for damage suffered as a result of any deprivation of liberty ordered pursuant
to this Act. Damage includes loss other than pecuniary loss. Article 89, paragraphs 2, 4 and 6, and
Articles 90, 91 and 93 of the Code of Criminal Procedure shall apply mutatis mutandis.
(2) In cases as referred to in subsection 1, articles 591 and 591a of the Code of Criminal Proce-
dure shall apply mutatis mutandis to the payment of costs and damages for the person claimed
or his heirs. For this purpose the court which heard the request for extradition shall take the place
of the court referred to in the said articles.
Section 60
Articles 585 589 of the Code of Criminal Procedure shall apply mutatis mutandis to service,
notifications and summonses under this Act.
Section 61
(1) The provisions of the preceding chapters hereof shall not apply to:
(a) mutual assistance provided for in the Act relating to surrender in respect of war crimes;
(b) the surrender of deserting crew members of ships to authorities of the state to which they
belong;
(c) the surrender of members of a foreign military force and of persons equated with them to
the competent military authorities in so far as such surrender takes place by virtue of an agree-
ment with one or more states with which the Netherlands maintains an alliance.
